What is JDLF?

Jo Daviess Local Foods is an online farmers' market connecting you to local producers. The buying window is open every week from Thursday noon to Monday noon, and then we deliver on Tuesdays to nine different locations: Galena, Galena Territory, Elizabeth, Hanover, Stockton, Warren, Apple River, Apple Canyon Lake, and Savanna. Times and locations are available when you register, or click on "PICKUP LOCATIONS" in the header menu for more information. We are now offering home delivery as well, for those who are not able to make it to a pickup location! read more...

Why Shop on JDLF?

We are proud to offer you LOCAL food. All our producers live in or close to Jo Daviess County. This means you are getting FRESH food--rich in nutrients and tasting great--AND you are reducing your carbon footprint while supporting our local economy! We work hard to bring you high-quality products. Every time you buy from JDLF, you are voting for a local food system. This may seem like a small thing, but it can add up to have a big impact. The more we can commit to buying local food, the closer we come to creating a strong local food system that is better for the environment and better for our health. read more...

How Do Memberships Work?

You can use the membership code "One_week_free" to try out our market. After that, you can choose the membership that works best for you: Weekly: $4, Monthly: $12, Seasonal: $25, Semi-annual: $35, Annual: $50. If you would like home delivery, you will choose that option instead and pay $10 each time you order. If you plan on ordering sporadically, the weekly membership might be the way to go, and you would just pay $4 every week you wish to order (paying nothing the other weeks). But if you plan on ordering often, $4 every week for 50 weeks is $200, so it would be cost-effective to go with the annual membership. Keep in mind you are not required to order every week, just whenever you wish. The membership fees help pay for our operating costs, and we greatly appreciate your support! read more...
